How Do You Feel About Speed Bumps/Humps?
These were recently installed on a street near my house, and I hate them. When an ambulance/fire engine needs to speed by, what are they to do?
There are ones in my neighborhood that are so low and wide that they don't even do anything! I dont even slow down for them and I barely feel anything. Waste of money...
I think that is cause people to speed. I slow down to go over the bump, then speed up to makeup for slowing down. I just repeat for every bump until i hit a stop sign.
In all seriousness, speeders are bad and dangerous, and these are good for society. However, some people go overboard and make them tiny hills more than bumps.
they're more dangerous than speeding. when i was learning to ride a motorcycle one of my biggest fears was going over a speed bump. hit the bump, your hand slips a bit and rolls open the throttle, instant wheelie, possible bad crash.
they're good for car parks because it prevents idiots from speeding in there and killing an innocent child, but in a suburb street sound ridiculous supporting:) http://jmchief93elite.blogspot.com
i hate them, i drive is piece of poo so naturally the shocks are garbage, so no matter my speed when i hit them i feel like Michael J Fox is giving me a piggyback ride.
I really dislike speedbumps, especially the ones on my college campus. They're kinda hard to describe, but they're really narrow and rather tall. So much so that going over them (even at a slow speed) snapped my front suspension...
they are fine as long as they don't put them in highways
ReplyDeletei hate them too
ReplyDeletethey just hit them full speed! i hate these things too. also hate how they are not all the same?!

A bad idea. I'd like to see more original ideas to keep speeding down.

ReplyDeleteThe fire engines wheels are so big, it don't matter. If sucks when you wanna drive over them though.
ReplyDeleteyeah speed bumps are garbage...considering how poorly maintained the roads are where I live, it's just more beating on the suspension
ReplyDeleteThese things are so annoying! I hate driving over them in my Jeep.
ReplyDeletewe should all drive tanks, then these things wouldnt matter at all.
