I know most Americans do not use the metric system, but paying less than $1.00 per liter used to set the American driver apart from his or her European/Canadian counterparts.
1 US gallon is equal to 3.785 liters, so as soon as the price (currently at $3.659 per gallon) reaches $3.789 per gallon, we Californians will be paying $1.00 per liter for gas/petrol.
So, $45 to fill up my 45-liter Honda? I bet that V8 SUV isn't making you feel very clever right now.
here in belgium it is 1,4 EURO for 1 liter. I guess thats almost 2 dollar for a liter fuel.
ReplyDeleteits RM2 for a litre here. so about USD2.50 a gallon? ...i think I'm wrong. sry lol.
ReplyDeletehybrid time anyone?
ReplyDeleteHoly hell, petrol is so expensive here.
ReplyDeleteDiesel here is about 1,60USD (1,35€)
ReplyDeleteIt's getting more and more ridiculous, really. $100 to fill up a truck. Glad I have a 4 cylinder.
ReplyDeleteI want a pure electric car.
ReplyDeleteGas prices are ridiculous! We are paying $3 here in East TN. I can't imagine paying the California prices. But, it's all supply and demand.
ReplyDeleteAnd that`s still way cheaper than what we pay for(about 1.50-1.60 $ per liter).
ReplyDeleteThis makes me want to get a bike.
Good I don't have a car, though sad the joy of driving is so highly influenced now by the absurd prices.
ReplyDeletewhat a shame
ReplyDeleteYeah I'm loathe to see gas prices rising again so much, but I'm looking into getting an efficient car(not a hybrid, hates them)
ReplyDeleteDamn my Buick.
ReplyDeleteimagine my face when i see the prices..
ReplyDelete*FFFFFUUUUU*
Ugh I have filling up specially in my old pos!
ReplyDeletetell me about it man! i live in LA and i remember when i was in high school and i used to fill out my thank for around $10 (2005). i think it was $1.99 p/g. ugh we need alternative fule now!
ReplyDeleteyeah.. come on, man up, drive less... its twice the price here
ReplyDeleteWow great blog! Im totally gonna start following you regularly! check out my blog too if youd like!
ReplyDeleteand this is why i prefer motorcycles. 50MPG on my bike, and it's still fast and fun. you jelly hybrid owners?
ReplyDeletetime to go hybrid!
ReplyDeletego electric
ReplyDeleteMy moped suits me!
ReplyDeleteTHAT'S how much it is in Cali? Wow, I bitched this morning when I paid $3.019...
ReplyDeleteI think the price of fuel in general is a bit ridiculous. But if it keeps on rising, man...
ReplyDeletei remember summer of 2008 when fuel prices hit 141.9 per litre in southern alberta, basically forced me to sell my truck, it would be cheaper for me at the point to make payments on a new car rather than pay for the gas in the truck
ReplyDeleteBest way to save gas money: don't use a car :)
ReplyDeleteMy parents just bought a hybrid car and i hate the price of fuel rising, it's annoying...may start cycling everywhere now.
ReplyDeleteit hit $1.40 per liter in Perth, Western Australia :( its ridiculous
ReplyDeletesupporting:)
