Have you ever driven down a road that had no lights whatsoever? I just finished driving down a stretch of road bounded by the ocean on one side and a cliff on the other. Needless to say, there wasn't much light apart from my anaemic headlights.
It was very odd driving down the street with no lights. Have you had a similar experience? It's very weird, yet extremely cool at the same time.
that's the drive home for me D=
ReplyDeletei've actually crashed once cause of it, not my fault tho =/ it's scary sometimes.
Where I live most of the roads have no lights, except for residential streets
ReplyDeleteYeah, we've got a few unlit roads around here in more rural areas. There's something great about a dark, two lane blacktop.
ReplyDeleteMy fiance was driving to pick me up from work and there was a blackout, he was going along the highway listening to some classical music then all the lights went out and in came the "horror movie music". You know, that classical eerie music. Yeah, that.
ReplyDeleteI live right out side Philly PA, for people who live in PA you know its damn near all wooded. Anyhow, the street lights are always going out by the Schuylkill river and you get the same effect as you described, its kind of haunting actually.
ReplyDeleteI like to jog sometimes, and I used to do it pitch darkness up the road from my house. For some reason it settled me...very odd I know!
ReplyDeleteAnd if I bumped into someone, my eyes were more adjusted to the dark than them so they usually were the one who shat themselves.
Nope I haven't, but I'd get easily lost if I did.
ReplyDeletedriven in whiteout blizzard, which makes you feel sick and like your are in Star Wars.
ReplyDeleteyes.. i love it. really.
ReplyDeletehave you ever spent the night outside by yourself away from everybody else, thats a cool experience also
ReplyDeleteA full moon during the winter is the best time to do it.
ReplyDeleteOur town had a complete blackout one time as I was driving home, and as I was driving through the terribly dark streets, horror movie music happened to come on the radio and scare the crap out of me.
ReplyDeleteUnlit roads are hella bad for me. Heck I can't drive at night at all because if an oncoming vehicle comes at me...I'm blinded.
ReplyDeleteI've driven many mountain passes that are completely dark. It's neat when their is moonlight to help you see.
ReplyDeletemmm sounds nice and peacefull to drive in places like that!
ReplyDeleteI like to follow people with my lights off haha.
ReplyDeletesometimes i drive down the road with my eyes closed; but all the roads around my house are lit. sounds cool!
ReplyDeleteNot cool at all, always afraid we'd swerve off the road or something -_-
ReplyDeleteSounds fun! lol
ReplyDeleteahmm sounds cool to ride with a bike and no lights
ReplyDeleteI remember one night the town I was in had power on one side and not the other. Spooky lol
ReplyDeleteI made a new set today, check it out!
Electric Addict Set #3
it's very eerie, keep thinking there's someone in the bushes watching me, and waiting to pounch if i stop the car.
ReplyDeleteyea thats scary stuff. i like to drive through the roads of the forest preserve near by when its late.
ReplyDeletethat must be scary
ReplyDeleteI used to turn off the lights on my car on those really pitch black nights traveling 70mph on a straight road...in deer country...yeah, not wise. >.>
